Resources for Teaching from the LDS Primary 2 Manual

As LDS primary teachers, we recognize the importance of having access to visual resources during our lessons at church. Often, the convenience of using printed pictures stored in binders is hindered by the effort required to manage these materials during teaching. To address this challenge, we developed this application to facilitate quick access to lesson visuals and resources using devices we already bring to church—our phones and tablets.

Our typical study method involves reviewing lessons and teaching from notes and highlights made within the Church's Scriptures app. Since we frequently carry our devices for this purpose, we saw an opportunity to include additional lesson resources within the same platform. This led us to create a series of apps that consolidate images and external links related to LDS Primary 2 lessons.

It is important to note that all images in the app are stored locally on the device, requiring no internet connection to display. This ensures reliable access during lessons regardless of connectivity.

This app is unofficial and not affiliated with or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The materials are intended solely for personal, church-related, noncommercial use unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The user interface features a menu accessible from the left sidebar, including links to an All Resources list, External Resources list, About screen, Instructions, and individual lessons from the Primary 2 manual.

All Resources: This section provides a numbered list of all internal resources included within the app, excluding external links.

External Resources: This section lists helpful lesson aids sourced from various websites. Users are encouraged to suggest additional resources via the provided email link on this screen.

Lessons: Selecting a lesson displays a link to its LDS.org page, along with available resources such as titles and thumbnails. Tapping any resource provides detailed information about it.

Details: When viewing a specific resource, double tap to view it in full screen; double tap again or swipe down to exit full screen. Use the back button at the top left to return to the previous list or lesson view.
